The fourth conference in the series of 6 took place in Riga, Latvia from 17. - 18. January 2008 in the historic Hotel Konventa Seta.

The event started with an evening reception on 17. January 2008, hosted by BIHE and supported by the Latvian Technological Centre and was followed by the conference on 18. January, during which the panels allowed participants to discuss with experts the possible reasons for women's reluctance to start a business. Representatives of the Baltic States highlighted the regional situation before women scientists and women in high-tech businesses outlined their personal situation.
Experts from Germany and Latvia presented programmes and models that have successfully encouraged more female students to consider a career as an entrepreneur after graduation.
